Our Mission

At Rising Star Baptist Church, we honor and celebrate the wisdom, faith, and dedication of our seniors — affectionately known as our Seasoned Saints. This ministry exists to provide spiritual encouragement, meaningful fellowship, and opportunities for continued service among those who have faithfully labored in the Lord’s vineyard.

Who We Are

The Seasoned Saints are a vibrant and vital part of our church family. Their steadfast faith, years of service, and deep love for God have helped shape Rising Star into the thriving and spirit-filled community it is today. Our seniors continue to inspire younger generations through their wisdom, prayer, and example of perseverance in faith.

What We Do

The highlight of the Seasoned Saints Ministry is our Annual Seniors’ Sunday, a special time set aside to recognize, honor, and celebrate the invaluable contributions of our senior members. During this joyful occasion, the congregation joins together in worship, gratitude, and appreciation for the strength and spiritual foundation our seniors provide.

In addition to Seniors’ Sunday, our Seasoned Saints remain actively involved in worship services, prayer, and volunteer efforts throughout the church, continuing to share their gifts and experiences with others.

Our Purpose

The Seasoned Saints Ministry reminds us that every stage of life has purpose and beauty in God’s plan. Our seniors embody faithfulness, grace, and wisdom — living testimonies of God’s sustaining power. Through their example, they continue to strengthen our congregation and uplift the next generation.
