Our Calling

At Rising Star Baptist Church, Missions and Evangelism are not just programs — they are the heartbeat of the Great Commission. The Missions & Evangelism Ministry exists to share the love, hope, and message of Jesus Christ both locally and globally. Whether across the street or across the world, we believe every disciple has a role in expanding God’s kingdom.

Our Leadership

Under the passionate leadership of Bro. Bill and Rev. Latifah Madison, the ministry is active, hands-on, and deeply committed to serving God’s people. The Madisons have traveled the world on mission assignments, sharing the gospel, meeting practical needs, and building relationships that reflect the heart of Jesus.

Their ministry includes:

Supporting widows in Ghana, working directly with communities to provide hope, resources, ministry, and economic empowerment.
Helping Ghanaian widows raise income through the sale of authentic Shea Butter and handmade goods.
Participating in and leading building projects in Mexico, constructing homes, churches, and community facilities.
Sharing the gospel through outreach, training, and practical acts of service wherever the Lord opens the door.

What We Do

The Missions & Evangelism Ministry provides disciples with opportunities to:

Receive evangelism training to effectively share their faith with compassion, confidence, and biblical wisdom.
Participate in mission trips, both domestic and international.
Engage in local outreach, serving individuals, families, and underserved communities.
Support global mission partners, including widows, children, churches, and ministries abroad.
Learn how to cooperate with the Holy Spirit, recognizing divine opportunities to share the gospel.
Grow in boldness, using personal testimonies to reach hearts for Christ.
