Our Calling

At Rising Star Baptist Church, Missions and Evangelism are not just programs — they are the heartbeat of the Great Commission. The Missions & Evangelism Ministry exists to share the love, hope, and message of Jesus Christ both locally and globally. Whether across the street or across the world, we believe every disciple has a role in expanding God’s Kingdom.

Our Mission

This ministry is dedicated to equipping believers to live out their faith through intentional outreach, compassionate service, and bold witness. We strive to meet both spiritual and practical needs while demonstrating the love of Christ in action.

Over the years, the Missions & Evangelism efforts of Rising Star have included:

Supporting widows in Ghana through ministry, resources, and economic empowerment
Assisting widows in Ghana with income opportunities through the sale of authentic Shea Butter and handmade goods
Participating in building projects in Mexico, including homes, churches, and community facilities
Sharing the gospel through outreach, training, and hands-on service wherever the Lord opens doors

What We Do

The Missions & Evangelism Ministry provides opportunities for disciples to:

Receive evangelism training to share their faith with compassion, confidence, and biblical wisdom
Participate in mission efforts, both local and international
Engage in community outreach, serving individuals, families, and underserved populations
Support global mission partners, including widows, children, churches, and ministries abroad
Learn to recognize and respond to the leading of the Holy Spirit
Grow in boldness by sharing personal testimonies and the message of salvation
